What Is Backstage View In MS Office 2010
MS Office 2010 has some new and innovative features. One of them is the ‘Backstage View’ which you get by clicking on the Office button found in the top left corner of a document.
In Office 2007, clicking on the Office button would bring down a menu with the ‘Save’, ‘Save As’, ‘Open’, ‘Close’ and other such buttons. However when you click on the Office button in MS Office 2010, you will be surprised to see an entire screen of options instead of a simple drop down menu.
The Backstage view in MS Office 2010 consists of all the needed functionality for Saving, Printing, Permissions, Versioning, Collaboration, Document Inspector, Workflows, etc. Since all these features may get cluttered in a drop down menu, a more spacious and well organized Backstage view has been created.
Click on the Office button to go into the Backstage view. Once you are done, you can click the ‘Back’ button in the top left corner of the Backstage view to return to your document editing.
