What Is God Mode And How To Create One In Windows 7?
Recently there has been a lot of buzz around so called God Mode in Windows 7. Well for the unaware, god mode is a term used in the Gaming world, which is a special code that gives complete power to a player, so he can win the game for sure.
God Mode in Windows 7 is far from your expectations, it neither gives you any exclusive powers nor does it make your system fool-proof. It is just an undocumented and (hence secret) short cut to some internal settings, such as opening up Control Panel with all it’s items, selecting a power plan, managing wireless networks etc, used by Windows developers for quick testing.
How To Create A God Mode In Windows 7?
Every God Mode has a special string unique to it. Here we consider an example God Mode which opens up the Control Panel in all it’s entirety. You don’t have to go through endless tabs and windows to find the item you are looking for. This God Mode when double clicked opens up the Control Panel with around 270 items, arranged in categories.
1. Create a new folder.
2. Rename the folder as ‘name.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}’.
For example we renamed it as “Entire Control Panel.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}”.
3. Once you hit Enter, you will notice that the folder icon changes into a Control Panel icon.
4. From now on you can access the Entire Control Panel by double clicking on your newly created God Mode.
