Where Is Folder Options Gone From Windows 7 Explorer Window?
If you have recently switched to Windows 7 from Windows XP, you might already be facing trouble finding some commonly used commands. We already showed you few of them such as missing Add/Remove Programs, and Outlook Express. Now we will help you find the famous “Folder Options” launched from Windows Explorer (Tools>Folder Options or My Computer>Folder Options in Windows XP).
In Windows 7, you will no more find “Tools” command in the My Computer or Explorer Window. Folder Options is now “Folder and Search Options” in Windows 7. It can be opened by clicking “Organize” and then “Folder and Search Options”.

However Folder Options is retained with the same name in Control Panel. Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options.
